Peterborough gas site sold by Centrica for £20m: British Gas owner Centrica has reported it is selling its Peterborough site to Whitetower Holdings UK Limited, an associate of Rockland Capital, for £20 million.

The site consist of freehold property, the 245MW Peterborough open cycle gas turbine & a 49MW reciprocating gas engine.

During the time the transaction is predicted to complete by the end of September, Centrica plans to carry on providing optimisation services to the site following the sale.

The company reported the sale is in line with its approach to become a simpler group directed at delivering its goal to become net zero by 2045.
