Octopus Renewables to set up Scottish onshore wind: Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust, on behalf of the Octopus Group, has purchased 100% of the rights to build a 50MW onshore wind farm within South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

The negotiation & the construction of the Cumberhead project will be priced at a calculated £75 million.

The 12-turbine wind farm is estimated to begin its undertaking in the 4th quarter of next year.

Phil Austin, Chairman of Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust plc, announced: “The project diversifies our holdings in the UK, and once operational will contribute to reducing the UK’s carbon footprint.”
