National Lottery introduces £2.5m for green communities: National Lottery has begun a new £2.5 million strategy to help communities all over the UK take part on climate change.
Applicants are requested to present their project proposals to obtain grants between £1,000 & £10,000.
The regional community projects are required to cover areas like food, transport, energy, waste as well as the natural environment to be regarded as eligible to obtain a grant.
Nick Gardner, Head of Climate Action at The National Lottery Community Fund, stated: “With this programme we are keen to reach those who are not sure how to take climate action or haven’t before, helping ensure that climate action moves further into the mainstream & is accessible and relevant to all communities.”
