October: Highest electricity switching rate since April 2019: The month of October was the highest electricity changing rate since April 2019.

Says the new data by Electralink’s Energy Market Data Hub, suggesting nearly 621,000 switches took place during the month, this was the third-highest since records began with 4% extra switches than October 2019 & a 20% increase from September 2020.

The report details cumulative electricity changes of supplier for this year are now at 5.1 million, which is 3% less than the same ten-month duration last year.

The data also show switches in the middle of challenger suppliers reached their highest ever, with 38% extra than October 2019 & making up 31% of October 2020’s entire switches.
