Small Business Energy Market Update

What has happened to Gas prices today?
UK gas prices have opened lower today, predominantly off the back of warmer revisions to temperature forecasts.
However, the system is short despite demand dropping off.
This is because there are outages at Heimdal and St. Fergus.
These outages are restricting UKCS flows.
Wind generation is set to ramp this week, reducing demand on gas along with warmer temperatures.
Brent crude has climbed this morning, supported by less US drilling and by fighting in Syria between Turkish and Kurdish forces, threatening supply from the region.
What specifically affected prices in the past week?
Bullish Factors (Upward Pressure)
Bearish Factors (Downward Pressure)
