Just 60 centimetres of screen has become the new battleground for oil and gas companies, energy CEOs say.
Speaking on Tuesday at Australia’s largest energy event, the APPEA Oil and Gas Conference in Adelaide, the heads of Shell and Santos have called the contest for the public’s hearts and minds the next frontier as the energy space transitions to a new power future.
“Our industry is overwhelming welcomed in places where it operates … our economic contribution is accepted as the lifeblood of the regional economy,” Ms Yujnovich said at the APPEA conference.
“But this is not the narrative we see in capital-city-centric commentary. It was not the narrative at the Batman by-election and it is not the narrative in Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat feeds.
“Sixty square centimetres of screen has become the battleground that really matters.
