CS Energy has agreed a 10-year deal to buy electricity from the 60MW Kennedy hybrid renewable energy park in the Australian state of Queensland.
The park will comprise a 43.5MW wind farm, a 15MW solar plant and a 2MW storage facility, which are being developed by Windlab and Eurus Energy Holdings.
The A$150m (€99m) project is expected to be fully operational in the second half of 2018.
CS Energy, which is owned by the Queensland state government, will also purchase a proportion of the large scale generation certificates from the hybrid facility.
CS Energy chief executive Martin Moore said the agreement was part of the company’s strategy to facilitate renewable energy development in Queensland, while continuing to provide baseload electricity through its existing portfolio of power stations.”
