UK Gas prices have risen today, despite a long system and higher Russian flows.
The NBP system opened 11mcm long this morning. Following the end of the outage at Cygnus field, Bacton flows have increased, which pushes UKCS flows up marginally day on day. Langeled flows have also increased, despite the ongoing outage at Heimdal.
South Hook nominations have dropped this morning, even though two LNG cargoes are expected towards the end of August.
Oil prices have increased this morning, as US figures have shown a more than expected decrease for US Crude inventories. There is also an OPEC report due today, which could impact the market.
UK Power prices have also risen today, impacted by UK Gas rises and low generation levels.
A jump in wind generation levels is expected tomorrow, but it is then expected to dip over the weekend. Towards the end of next week, it is expected to strengthen.
As temperatures for the UK hover below seasonal normal, solar output is predicted to remain low for the next couple of weeks.
Oil prices have also risen this morning, adding support to the curve. This is following a fall in US Crude inventories which is more than initially expected. Rising over a $1.
Dutch and French Gas prices have increased this morning, despite higher Russian flows. Moving instead to the tune of support from technicals and higher Oil prices.
On the continent, weather forecast models have been revised slightly cooler. Below normal temperatures for the rest of the week, then some warmer days next week.
As the Mallnow maintenance comes to an end, Russian flows have increased by 24mcm.
Oil prices have increased this morning, as US Crude inventories fell more than expected. The drop expected was 2.7million barrels, the inventories actually dropped by 6.5 million barrels.
Both Dutch and German Power prices have increased this morning.
Wind and Solar levels are still weak. Wind is expected to strengthen tomorrow, and then decline over the weekend. Whilst solar is expected to remain low for the next couple of weeks.
Oil prices have risen this morning, following the reported drop in US Crude stockpiles.
Colder weather is forecast for the continent at the minute, however warmer days are expected coming into next week. Unsettled and breezy weather is set to return to NW Europe next weekend.
